Aug. 25, 2020 Paul Plevin Raises Over Twenty Thousand Meals for San Diego Children and Families Affected by COVID-19

Paul, Plevin, Sullivan & Connaughton joined the fight against hunger by competing in Feeding San Diego’s annual Food from the Bar fundraising campaign.  Paul Plevin and the local legal community engaged in a friendly competition to raise money to provide nutritious meals for the San Diego children and families at risk of hunger.  Feeding San Diego is working with local school districts and community partners to provide food in the absence of in-school meals due to school closures.  Before the COVID-19 pandemic, one in eight people in San Diego County, including one in six children, faced hunger.  Now, an estimated one in six adults and one in four children are struggling with hunger.

Since participating in the inaugural campaign, Paul Plevin earned first place in the competition this year, exceeding the initial goal of $5,000.  Each dollar raised provides four nutritious meals which translates to 20,456 meals.  In total, the legal community raised $16,306 helping to provide over 65,000 meals to San Diegans facing hunger.  Paul, Plevin, Sullivan & Connaughton is proud to continue partnering with Feeding San Diego and their tireless efforts to solve hunger throughout the city.
