Jan. 8, 2021 George Howard has joined Paul, Plevin, Sullivan & Connaughton LLP as a partner
Mr. Howard has represented employers for more than 40 years in matters involving employment discrimination, wage/hour, harassment, trade secrets/employee mobility, retaliation, whistleblower, ERISA, and employment contract issues. He has an extensive background in union management relations and collective bargaining. George also serves as amicus coordinator of the Employers Group Legal Committee, a group he previously chaired, who represent the interests of employers as amicus curiae in appeals of important employment and labor cases.
Among his many accomplishments, Mr. Howard was the first San Diego-based attorney to be elected a Fellow at The College of Labor and Employment Lawyers and is a founding editor of The Rutter Group's California Practice Guide on Employment Litigation. He has been recognized as a top labor and employment attorney by Best Lawyers in America since 1993, and has been listed in Chambers USA annually since 2005. Mr. Howard was most recently Of Counsel with Jones Day and was partner at Jones Day from 2007-2017.
