March 2, 2017 PPSC is proud to support Suits for a Cause

Paul, Plevin, Sullivan & Connaughton is very proud to participate in the 2017 Women Helping Women Suits for a Cause event during the month of March.

Women Helping Women (WHW) is a non-profit organization with the mission of providing the unemployed and underemployed with the skills and resources they need to get and keep a good job.  Programs include: Employment Readiness Workshops, Computer Training, Job Placement Assistance, Employment Retention Support, and Professional Apparel.

Suits For A Cause engages and mobilizes the legal community to host clothing drives at law firms around Southern California with the mission of gathering new and gently used business and casual clothing items to help local job seekers put their best foot forward in their journey to employment.  Professional clothing items will empower WHW clients to be “interview-ready” and will provide them with a hand-up and not just a hand-out.  Casual clothing items are a critical part of WHW’s social enterprise, which provides funding for the organization.

Nearly 75% of WHW’s job seekers obtain a good job and 90% of those keep that job, which increases their household income by over 650%.  Since 1993, WHW has served over 80,000 job seekers at no charge.

The firm is thankful for this opportunity to support WHW in its efforts.  For more information, please visit: whw.org
